Instructors

Sensei Stuart Hick (3rd Dan), Chief Instructor, has been teaching karate since 1995 and formed the Plympton Shotokan Karate Club in January 2000. He has trained in Japan and achieved some of the highest standards in traditional karate, as well as competing on a regional and national level and obtaining all EKGB coaching qualifications.

Stuart works hard to maintain the high standards of powerful, traditional karate that he inherited from his instructors, at the same time providing a welcoming and friendly service in the Dojo.

Stuart is assisted at the club by Senpai Jon Eaton (1st Dan) who has also been involved with karate for many years.
